This remote works flawlessly. It is slightly different than the original remote. The Tivo button on top now says Direct TV. The aspect, tv power, and tv input are in different locations. This didn’t bother me at all. My biggest discovery, in reading other reviews, was learning how to create a commercial skip feature that I didn’t have before. I use it frequently.
This is definitely worth the money and somewhat cheaper than the actual Tivo remote.
DIRECTV: Original Replacement remote for a DirecTV Series 2 Tivo DVR. These remotes are original equipment and are the same one that is included with the DirecTV HR10 – 250. These remotes were originally sold to a contract manufacturer that was manufacturing Tivo units for DirectTV. These remotes will work as a usable replacement for any Tivo that uses the peanut style remote (Not Made by Sony). It will work all the basic functions of the Tivo units. Item did have the minimal damage for a used receiver. However the receiver did not come with the card or the remote(costing me more money). In the end I feel it would of been a better buy if I would of just purchased a new receiver.
